Rokas Baciuška will continue getting accustomed to the T1+ car – set to compete in Saudi Arabia with a Toyota.

"You know, a buggy and forest are good, but a car and sand – even better," says Rokas Baciuška, three-time Dakar Rally podium finisher and World Rally-Raid champion, in a message shared on the last day of January.

Although not much time has passed since the Dakar Rally, the Tauragė-born racer will soon transition from his buggy to the top category – the T1+ or Ultimate class car.

"There wasn’t much time to rest, as I had to fulfill commitments to the media, fans, and the people of Tauragė. But now, I want to share some good news – in a week, I’m heading back to Saudi Arabia, where I will compete in the 'Hail Toyota International' rally with a T1+ class Toyota Overdrive car," revealed R. Baciuška.

According to the racer, the decision to drive the Toyota was based on its reliability.

"The big plan is to compete in the Dakar Rally with this car in 2025 and throughout the World Championship. I understand that it will require a lot of hard work and finding supporters who believe in making my dream a reality," said R. Baciuška.

R. Baciuška first got behind the wheel of a Toyota last July when he tested his skills at the "Baja Aragon" rally in Spain.

"That time, we performed quite well, finishing in the top ten, where there were many top-level stars. So, we know who we will be competing with and how. I think the news is good. Wish me luck and keep your fingers crossed," R. Baciuška smiled.

This year, the Lithuanian racer will not only be getting used to the Toyota car, but he will also continue competing in the Challenger class buggy, with which he secured third place in the Dakar Rally. He will compete in the World Rally-Raid Championship stages and aim for another world champion title. Additionally, he plans to participate in karting races, meaning R. Baciuška will also be seen racing in Lithuania.
